Teaching Course - Modern Trends in Epilepsy
in co-operation with Eurepa and ILAE - Commission for European Affairs, Subcommission for Central and Eastern European Issues and Czech Chapter.

Duration of the TC: Two full days, 5 and 6 April 2006. We would like to offer participants a course in epileptology, composed of large platform sessions, as well as smaller "skills transfer" sessions. Participation in the scientific part of the congress will also be offered. The epilepsy session will follow immediately after the TC on 7 April, to enable the speakers and those attending the TC to present their research topics.

ILAE Travel Grants Teaching courses in preparation
Travel grants supported by ILAE will be provided to enable young neurologists from Eastern and South-East European countries to participate in the teaching course and Danube Symposium.
Criteria for applications for an ILAE CEA grant:
TC participation is proposed for MD, of a maximum age of 40, who care for persons with epilepsy, preferably specialising in neurology, able to understand, read and communicate in English.
Applicants should provide:
1. a CV, with a list of publications if available; 2. a motivational letter; 3. a statement to the effect that the applicant's knowledge of English is sufficient to follow the course; 4. a letter of recommendation, preferably from an official or senior member of the local chapter of the League Against Epilepsy; 5. an abstract, if the applicant intends to participate actively in the scientific session of the Danube Symposium.
Applications should be written in English and sent by e-mail or surface mail to the address of the symposium organiser by 10 February 2006.
